What is a VRF thermostat?
A VRF thermostat is the controller for Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, designed to manage comfort on a zone-by-zone basis.
Unlike basic thermostats, VRF thermostat communicate directly to the system’s network. In a typical setup, one outdoor unit connects to several indoor units through refrigerant piping. Each indoor unit—whether it’s a ceiling cassette or a wall-mount—gets its own thermostat, allowing for completely independent settings in every room.
These thermostats work with inverter compressors and electronic expansion valves to modulate refrigerant flow in real time. If you’re running a heat-recovery system, they even allow some zones to heat while others cool at the same time.
It’s a massive step up from traditional HVAC, often cutting energy use while supporting modern extras like building management integration, mobile apps, and occupancy sensors.

Why choose Keemeet Factory's VRF thermostats
As a professional thermostat manufacturer, Keemeet offers full-scale production and flexible branding for your thermostat line. Our facility is equipped with 3 SMT machines and 4 assembly lines, handling everything in-house from aging to packaging.
By combining 100% AOI automated testing and 10+ years of global shipping experience, we ensure your orders arrive on time.
Standard thermostats usually just send a simple on/off signal to a furnace or AC. VRF thermostats are much smarter—they’re part of a data network that talks to both the indoor units and the inverter compressor. This allows for things like group control, displaying specific error codes, and syncing with building management systems, rather than just changing the temperature locally.
